Cute tiny speakeasy tucked away in the back of a pub. The food came out quickly and it was delicious, the drinks were STRONG, the live music was pleasant, the vibes were unique, and the waiters/waitresses were attentive and made our first experience here one to remember! We will definitely be coming back for our anniversary because this was unlike any restaurant we have been to before. This is a special event type of venue due to the cost $$$.
An absolute hidden gem in Waikiki! Gaslamp Speakeasy completely exceeded our expectations. From the moment you step inside, the intimate, moody atmosphere transports you to another world. The cocktails? Easily some of the most creative and well-crafted I’ve had anywhere — beautifully presented, balanced, and delicious. We tried a few, including one served in a flaming skull (seriously impressive) and a classic whiskey-based drink that was spot on. Every drink felt like a work of art. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, guiding us through the menu with great recommendations. If you’re a fan of speakeasies, craft cocktails, and a unique, upscale vibe, this place is a must. 5 stars — can’t wait to come back next time we’re in town!
Had an awesome experience at Gaslamp last night. The atmosphere alone is worth the trip—dim lighting, a modern speakeasy vibe, and just enough energy in the room without feeling crowded or loud. It’s the kind of place where you can actually enjoy your food and have a conversation. The standout for me was the Kagoshima Wagyu Carpaccio. Melt-in-your-mouth doesn’t even begin to describe it. The cut, the marbling, the seasoning—everything was balanced perfectly. It’s one of those dishes you slow down for because you don’t want it to end. I also tried the Wagyu Sampler, and that was a solid move. Each cut had its own flavor profile and texture, and you could really tell they take pride in sourcing and preparing high-quality beef. Easily one of the better wagyu experiences I’ve had on island. Overall, Gaslamp delivered—great setting, great food, and definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to.

After checking out a few reviews, we were able to locate the hidden entrance without any trouble. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall experience. The ambiance is just stunning—think speakeasy vibes with candlelight and a mix of chill, romantic, and mysterious energy. The food was outstanding. We started with the lobster crostini and day-boat oysters, both fresh and flavorful. For our mains, we had the steak Diane and the Dover sole meunière—both dishes were beautifully prepared and delicious. The drinks were also excellent, and we couldn’t leave without trying dessert. The crème brûlée was the perfect sweet finish—rich, creamy, and so satisfying. Overall, we loved our experience and would highly recommend this place for a special night out.
Absolutely delightful experience at Gaslamp this evening. The service was top notch with the entire staff working as a seamless team. The food was phenomenal with the steak Diane and pappardelle with Wagyu bolognese being standouts. The romantic ambiance and excellent live jazz really took the whole experience to the next level. Highly recommended, this place is a total gem!
Incredible !!! Top notch!!! The artichoke crab dip was to die for !!! I'm back in NJ still thinking about it!! The atmosphere is awesome esp the sax player !!! Definitely a must if you go to Oahu!! Just being your cc .. very expensive but well worth every bite!!!
Overall a great experience. Our service was Madeline (if we remember that correctly), she was very knowledgeable of the menu and made great suggestions to improve our experience. The scallops were delicious and I’m glad we added the caviar. Wagyu tomahawk steak was the center oh our dinner and it did not disappoint. Would comeback and recommend this place.
This place is a 100000/10 delicious food, incredible service and I’ll be dreaming of these cocktails. Also, do “The French Laundry” a melt-in-your-mouth tomahawk steak. Perfect for date night, girls night or any night you want to feel elevated. Not your typical Hawaii experience. You will not regret!
If you are looking for a fantastic intimate dining experience this is a great choice. Our group has some major foodies that have eaten at Michelin star restaurants all over the world. We attended on and with a recommendation from a local and were not disappointed. I understand some people may not like the intimate, jazzy speakeasy vibe but the experience of it all makes it more fun. The staff were all very attentive. Any drinks I tried were top notch and delicious. The divers sea scallops were fantastic. My wife and I shared the French laundry which was also incredible. Every dish was fantastic and our table had the full spectrum of food dishes. That is when a restaurant has a good chef/culinary team. Sure, you *may* be able to get a steak for slightly cheaper and close to or equal price. But being able to get a wide variety of food and drinks that are all top notch in a unique venue is not an easy find. I would highly recommend, my only moderate suggestion/complaint is you will end up ordering so much food you run out of table space lol.
Absolutely amazing experience. If you’re looking for a great evening with perfect ambiance, amazing food and personal service from a professional wait staff that truly wants you to enjoy your evening this is the place. The prices are high but the quality of the food and small speak easy vibes are worth it. The hanging tomahawk was beyond delicious and the sides and appetizers were remarkable. The drinks were beyond unique and brought together blends that will have you struggling between reordering a second or trying something new and exciting.
